New Honda Cars

When you are buying a new car, Hondas offer many great vehicles to suit anybody’s needs and it has been proven that Honda makes some of the safest cars around. However, even when purchasing a new Honda car, there is still some research to be done and things to keep in mind.

After you have decided that Honda is the best company for you, choose a model that you like. This will take some research so you can best determine what your needs are such as how many people will be using the car, how far you will be using the car to travel, and if you will be using the car for business or personal reasons. You can look at different new Honda cars, different features and specifications; the internet is an excellent resource to do this on.

Next, visit different dealer showrooms and shop around so you can find the best deal on the new Honda car that you have chosen. While shopping around you will also be able to get a feel for the customer service provided at different dealerships. It’s important that you deal with people that you feel comfortable with.

Once you have decided on a new Honda car and the dealership or even the internet site you want to purchase it from, you need to be prepared to negotiate. Dealers are often prepared to deal on their profit margin. How much they are willing to bargain will usually depend on the difference between the manufacturer’s recommended retail price (MRRP) and the Dealers cost price (sometimes call invoice price).

The MRRP will be the base price that the manufacturer has suggested based on features, transportation charge, and the fuel economy (mileage.) This price will be displayed on a label on the window or the roof of the car. This is law and so, one will always be aware of what the MRRP is on a car. The invoice price is how much the dealer was charged by the manufacturer. This will generally be higher than the cost the dealer ends up paying because dealers receive rebates, allowances, discounts and incentive awards.

Once you are working with a Honda dealer, consider having the model you want ordered in if you don’t see it in the showroom. This could take a little more time but could also save you money as well as make sure that you get the exact new Honda car that you want. Ordering your car could save you money because the cars on the lot or in the showroom may have features that you don’t want or need but will end up costing you more in the long run. Often, dealers are looking to get rid of their inventory or stock they have on the lot so they may negotiate a great deal on a car they have, including not charging you for the extra features the cars offer. This will also save you money. However, if no deal can be negotiated and the car you want is not on the lot, be patient and wait out the time it takes to have one ordered in.

Good luck with researching and buying your next new Honda and make sure you enjoy the experience.
